About Makakilo Gardens Makakilo Gardens mark the beginning of where the real estate map switches from Lower to Upper Makakilo. They lie right along Makakilo Drive where it curves west, forming the Lower area's northern border, just before the road heads straight up the hillside.
Makakilo Gardens is the overall community, but there were 3 different phases to it, the first two both finished in 1973, the last in 1974. The layouts, however, follow the same pattern across them all.
The 2 story homes fall into categories of 2BR/1BA (873 sq ft), 3BR/1.5BA (1113 or 1125 sq ft), 3BR/2BA (1316 sq ft) and 4BR/2BA (also 1316 sq ft).
Fenced in back areas are a standard feature that vary between those mostly or completely paved and others that have retained a small yard space there. They come in sizes that range from 100 to as much as 300 sq ft for
Though not far up the heights of this neighborhood, you still have the views that draw homebuyers here. Residents of the Gardens can see out past
Kapolei to the ocean waves rolling off the coastline and all the way to Diamond Head.
Even from this level of outlook, Kapolei is a quick drive, making a shopping trip or a dash to a new dining place simple. If a longer journey is required, like the commute to Honolulu, H1 is just down the road.
The Makakilo Gardens townhomes are a more affordable option that provides the spaces – inside and out -, the conveniences and the views that would attract anyone in the market. Head up Makakilo, but not too far, and you can call this home, too.
