About Park Ward Village The Park Ward Village is a
luxury condo project in Ward Village, currently under construction, with a design that is best described as mid-century modern with elegant and somewhat formal touches. The project is being developed on the largest lot within
Ward Village, which is the west side of Victoria Ward Park -
Koula (2022) occupies the east side of the park and is about 300 ft away from Park Ward Village.
The project has 2 structures:
Main Tower: 9th to 41st floor with 14 units per floor - 2 x Studio, 6 x 1BR, 4 x 2BR, 2 x 3BR.
Podium: 3rd to 7th floor, also with 14 units per floor - 6 x Studio, 6 x 1BR, 4 x 2BR, 2 x 3BR.
The podium is built into the tower, with the front units (nearest ocean) being part of the main tower with podium units 'sticking out' on the mountain / north side of the building.
Views South Facing Residences (00, 01, 03): Stunning ocean views. The open view towards the ocean is about 600 ft wide between
Victoria Place and
Kalae.
East Facing Residences (00, 02, 04, 06, 08): A mix of beautiful ocean and park views.
West Facing Residences (03, 05, 07, 09, 11, 13, 15): City views with some ocean views on an angle near windows.
Also Good to Know Amenity deck: 8th floor, which will be about 40% larger than
Anaha's amenity deck, which means it will be very large.
Ground Level: Commercial Space.
Parking: 2nd to 7th Floor.
Elevators: 5 total (4 Residential and 1 Service).
Balconies: No.
Home Office / Storage: About 75% of units will come with a storage space inside the units - about 4 x 6 in size. This space can be converted to a home office with built in cabinetry.
Auahi Street Howard Hughes Corporation, the developer, is planning to transform Auahi St into a one car lane street in either direction (currently 2 car lanes run in either direction) and widen the sidewalks as well as add a large amount of landscaping. The idea is to create a very inviting Auahi street running all the way from
South Shore Market (by Queen St) through to The Park Ward Village (by Ward Ave).
Victoria Ward Park There are 2 sections to Victoria Ward Park, separated by Auahi St:
1) Mauka (mountain section): The larger part of the park, which The Park Ward Village will be built right next to (on the west side of the park). The park currently has just a few sparse palm trees. However, the developer has plans to plant a total of 140 palm trees and 17 monkey pod trees, giving this section of the park a vibrant and energetic feel. With leveled grass it is highly usable and can be used for public events of various sorts.
2) Makai (ocean section): Will be located immediately west of
Victoria Place. The developer plans to create more curvature to this part and focus more on aesthetics than usability. Construction is expected to commence in 2023.
