About Rycroft Terrace Ryocroft Terrace began life as part of the well-known Pagoda Hotel. Just across the street from the main building, as well as the equally famous Pagoda Restaurant, the landowner, Kamehameha Schools sold it to developer Peter Savio in 2013 under a special agreement.
The sale specified that this be a reserved housing project, meaning that the pricing would fall within the guidelines set by that state program. In short they were affordable condos, intended to fill a great need for housing.
After extensive renovations of these residences, all built in 1963, they were put up for sale to the expected large demand, with lines to sign up for the chance to own one.
The Ryocroft Terrace condos come in layouts of Studio/1BA (304 to 312 sq ft), 1BR/1BA (495 to 616 sq ft) and finally 2BR/1BA (649 to 737 sq ft). Lanais are only on some of the units, measuring from 82 to 123 sq ft when they are present.
The location is excellent, bringing some of the most popular shopping areas in Honolulu all in easy walking distance to your home. Local favorite Don Quijote is just up the street, with Wal-Mart almost equally close in the other direction, plus Keeaumoku Street's many restaurants.
The flagship of Hawaii's malls, Ala Moana Center, is only a little further, making it an everyday trip to some of the best browsing in the Islands. Continue that way across Ala Moana Boulevard and you arrive at Ala Moana Beach Park, with its large golden stretch of sands. It's your neighborhood beach now.
Living in Ryocroft Terrace is like buying access to a part of Honolulu where everything is at your feet. Literally, because it's all in walking distance when you're here. With a price point to fit a real need for so many of us locally, too, this could be just the right fit for you.
