What's amazing about this
Honolulu condo are those incredible widescreen vistas from a building that's back on the mauka side of H1. Blessed by your elevated outlook in the almost uniformly low heights of the rest of the neighborhood, especially toward town, you get sight lines those around you can only dream about.
It's more than just a matter of the tall structure you live in at Makiki Plaza. It's also what you get with your home. They start with Studio/1BA units that have 408 sq ft interiors and lanais of 57 sq or, as most do, a substantial 106 sq ft. Then it rises to the 1BR/1BA residences of 528 sq ft, their lanais spanning a very large 187 sq ft. Finally, the layouts top out at 2BR/2BA, collecting 840 sq ft within their walls with another 200 sq ft out on their lanais!
With lanais of these sizes, you get a greater personal view space, that include the sights of Diamond Head, the emerald colored Koolau Mountains, the city lights, the depthless blue ocean and even a free fireworks show every Friday evening.
You might even be able to see your office from there. It's easy to get there, too, with H1 a matter of 2 minutes to arrival into its fast-moving lanes or take Pensacola down to Beretania or King Streets and be Downtown in no time. That same trip down Pensacola takes you to Safeway, Times, Walgreens, Longs or keep going just a little while longer and you can be in Kakaako. Sampling the new shopping and dining choices there has become a local sport and now you can join in. Or go to Ala Moana Center next door where the possibilities are almost endless for pau hana enjoyment.
All that fun can be exhausting so come home and take a swim, or a soak in the sauna or maybe a dip in the hot tub. The best relaxation, however, is probably just going outside on your roomy lanai and letting the scenery do its work. Just remember to have someone wake you for dinner if you fall asleep.
