Luna-Liho Towers takes it name from the fact that it's on the corner of Lunalilo and Liholiho Streets, just on the mauka side of H1. It's difficult to miss it since it's a lot taller than the homes and buildings around it in this part of Makiki.
That height ensures a definite advantage in the vistas, as you look out from your home, like standing on a step ladder in the middle of a crowd. The homes who enjoy that advantage come in layouts of Studio/1BA (462 sq ft), 1BR/1BA (572 sq ft) and 2BR/1BA (700 sq ft). You have a lanai as well, the Studio & 1BR versions adding 40 sq ft on them, the 2BR homes having 60 sq ft.
Your views spread across the city skyline that lights up at nightfall and sweeping back to the Koolau Mountains that soar over this side of the Island.
Being so close, you also can see the highway running nearby, a reminder that getting on the freeway from the Luna-Liho Towers is a matter of a couple of minutes, making Downtown commutes and day trips more than a little easier.
This spot on Honolulu's map means you have Beretania & King Streets nearby to use for getting across town and back. In fact, both are an easy walk from your site, with Safeway & Times grocery stores right where you arrive on Beretania. Another block and there's Walgreens, plus restaurants and shops that you'll keep coming back to.
If you're tired of the errands and the stresses or work, walking will also get you to Makiki District Park. There you have, along with the expected wide open grassy field, tennis & basketball courts, swimming pool and their never-ending programs of organized activities and life-enrichment classes. If you or your keiki want something even more challenging, Makiki Skate Park is right there, too.
While your building may not have amenities, you have plenty around you. Just a stroll to shopping and dining or a huge range of recreation choices for everyone in the family, along with a quick path onto the freeway.
Pretty good amenities and no monthly fees needed. You might say that life is a bargain when you live at Luna-Liho Towers.
