The Kalakaua Sands sits right on this famous street, not too distant from where it crosses over into
Waikiki. Your neighborhood may not have as much cache with the tourists, but it certainly does with the locals.
Directly across the road is
Palama Supermarket, providing any and all Korean groceries you'd ever need. Next to that? Don Quijote, with even more groceries as well as household goods. A short stroll Ewa and you're at Keeamoku St, where things really get good.
There's Ross for discounted clothing and personal goods, and facing that is WalMart and Sam's Club, where you can find almost anything. You probably should fill up at one of the great restaurants on Keeaumoku before you walk the one block up and take on the shopping, dining and entertainment center of Hawaii, Ala Moana Center.
All of this, including the stores and eateries of King St, too, are now yours to use and enjoy. Where else in Honolulu do you get such resources like these?
You'll ponder that from your residence, one of the 588 sq ft 1BR/1BA units that are behind every door here. The homes do not have lanais attached. You do, though, have buffer space on the 3 sides not facing Kalakaua Ave, made up by your parking lot. It's a lesser-noticed benefit, until you realize how many
Honolulu condos are cheek-to-cheek, bringing neighboring noise and activity to your doorstep.
Bus stops are right outside, making catching one very easy to do if you need one for your commute. If you're driving, Kapiolani Blvd and the duo of King & Beretania Streets are multi-lane paths Downtown and back.
When Pau Hana time starts you can return to walking and head straight for Ala Moana Beach Park. There you'll find big open green spaces welcoming you, only giving way to the soft sands and cool waters of the beach. It's also an awesome place to watch the Friday Night Fireworks.
Kalakaua Sands can give you all of this – a home, a neighborhood and a lot to indulge yourself, and your loved ones, in, just steps away.
