The problem with many
Honolulu condos is the urban build-up that can leave you with little to no view, hemmed in by other towers nearby. Unless you live in a charmed location like the Kaimana Lanais.

Iolani School. From here, most of your vistas are wide open.
Directly makai is the single story
Ala Wai Elementary, with
Ala Wai Community Park next to it, and the canal flowing behind them. Turn your head east and you overlook Iolani School football field, the
Ala Wai Golf Course and, finally, Diamond Head in the distance. Not only are these views open now, they probably always will be.
All of this is enjoyed from 1BR/1BA units that measure from 551 to 597 sq ft in size. The secret here, however, is the often huge lanais, especially for 1BRs. You'll have at least 91 to a staggering 368 more square footage outside. In some cases that's become additional interior space, many owners having enclosed it to spread out more.
As serene as this part of Moiliili is, you're still right off of Kapiolani Blvd and down the street from H1, so commuting and daytrips are easy to do. Plus Ala Moana Center and Waikiki's recreational options are close by as well.
As the Honolulu skyline becomes more crowded, less and less homes can promise the openness that these views do, and are almost guaranteed to remain. That's a rare thing and Kaimana Lanais have it.
