Let's get something out of the way. It is true that the Hale Kulanui fronts onto the Moiliili Japanese Cemetery. For some, that one item in a
Honolulu condo listing presents a possible issue. A look at the residents' online reviews of the building, and what you'll learn below about this building, though, just might persuade you that it's an issue that can be overcome.
That cemetery does make for a wide open outlook that way and that's not your only low-profile neighbor. On the back of the building you sit next to Kuhio Elementary, with its small classroom building and its huge field where the children play. With the school day ending at 2:15, you have nothing but peace and quiet there for all of pau hana, weekdays and weekends. If you have a little one, their walk to school couldn't get any easier.
The Hale Kalahui residences are evenly divided between Studio/1BR (403 to 440 sq ft) and 1BR/1BA (541 sq ft) layouts. Lanais give you from 52 to 78 sq ft outside, too. From home your views can take in Diamond Head, the Waikiki skyline, our city lights and Punchbowl, too!
You might even see to Downtown where you work. Lucky for you, both King St and Kapiolani Ave basically bookend your address above and below, providing the direct paths you want in a commute.
H1E has an entrance practically next door off of Kapiolani, H1W is just slightly longer of a drive to get on, entering right from University Ave. That kind of access means everything when you need to get someplace fast or just want to get home and relax.
You can also get places fast on foot, like Puck's Alley, Long's, Down to Earth and some very popular local restaurants along King St. UH might take a bike or car ride, but it is still near enough to make enrolling there a definite option.
Set back in this relatively unknown part of Moiliili, you get both open spaces before and behind you, but also the modern benefits of the highway and walkability. Right were you least expect it.
