About Cabana at Waikiki The Cabana at Waikiki began life in 1967 as visitor accommodations, only converting to condos in 2010. It's easy to see understand why it so successfully served tourists for so long.
The building is right in the thick of Waikiki, between Kuhio and Kalakaua Avenues. You can roll out of bed and be on one of the most famous beaches in the world within 5 minutes. It's just one block away. The Honolulu Zoo and, more importantly, the vast outdoor playground of Kapiolani Park is just as close. It would be difficult to find a better condo location in Waikiki.
The 4 floors of the Cabana hold just 15 units total. All of the 1BR residences measure 365 sq ft interiors with lanais that extend 50 to 58 more sq ft on the outside. Room for sitting and taking in the day or the cool tropical evenings.
Though the building is no longer a hotel property as a whole, the visitor accommodation aspect remains, so these are possible revenue sources. The Cabana is now a condotel, allowing you to rent out your unit for short term stays.
Currently the property is well reviewed on Trip Advisor and other travel sites, making it easier to book visits from the legions of tourists seeking a place in Waikiki.
This property would make a great home for someone who doesn't need a huge space, but wants to be in the best part of this district. For others, it could be a property for generating income. Either way, it's a great piece of real estate.
