new Kakaako condos for sale, more than a few interested buyers have experienced sticker shock. The units are often well out of the range of the average shopper. The good news is that there's an existing condo in Kakaako that offers affordability right now. 1133 Waimanu condos might be your way into this showpiece community, and without breaking your bank.
First thing first. These aren't the largest of residences, the 1BRs ranging from 534 to as much as 649 sq ft. The 2BRs are a little bigger, measuring from 652 to 751 sq ft in their category. Only the 2BR units have lanais, with a total of 69 sq ft for you to step out into the sunshine and take in the fresh air.
Despite those smaller dimensions in the 1133 Waimanu condo, this is a high owner-occupancy building. Almost 69% as this is being written. One good reason is that the affordability goes beyond the mortgage to the maintenance fees. That is partly due to the lack of extra amenities, but for those who are looking to live within their means and don't use those kinds of extras very much, that's a fair exchange.
What you get, in spades, is a location right in the midst of not just emerging Kakaako, but some of the best shopping in Honolulu today. Walk a few blocks east and you're standing in Ala Moana Center, where the choices are endless in stores, restaurants and entertainment.

No matter which way you turn, you're a winner! Head just a little bit further North and you're on Ala Moana Beach, a wonderful place to take a dip or just drink in the sun and sand.
These benefits will only multiply in the years to come as the project proceeds and fulfills the planned additions of so many other dining and shopping options, all of which you will walk to just as easily.
If you're intrigued by the community that is coming in at Kakaako, but have been turned off by the pricing, a condo at 1133 Waimanu might well be worth your while. It just might be your ticket in.
