About Mariners Village 1, 2 & 3 Mariners Village townhomes aren't located in one community, it's three. The first two built were relatively small, just 46 and 28 townhomes. The scope of the third phase of this Hawaii Kai project, though, ramped up to contain 291 units, 80% of the total in the entire combined Mariners Village. That lopsidedness, as well as large variations in layouts throughout the trio, is very clear when you look at the actual data for each one:
Mariners Village 1 (1971): 46 Units, 2 to 4BR's
2BRs of either 850 or 1200 sq ft
3BRs from 1093 to 1356 sq ft
4BRs of 1329 or 1549 sq ft
Mariners Village 2 (1972): 28 Units, 2 to 3 BR's
2BRs with 1095 sq ft
3BRs of 1243 to 1320 sq ft
Mariners Village 3 (1973): 291 Units, 2 to 4 BR's
2BRs with 1082 sq ft
3BRs from 1369 to 2077 sq ft
4BRs from 1477 to 1644 sq ft
It's clear that every floor plan is generous, providing the space you've always desired, especially if you're a growing family who needs all they can get. The Mariners Village townhomes also feature individual private yards, giving you some space for the kids and pets to play – or for you to relax outside once the little ones are in bed. A very nice feature that isn't so common in modern
Honolulu condos.
It's not just the number of townhomes that separates the first 2 communities from the third, either. It's distance, too. Villages 1 and 2 are located in Hahaione Valley, a few blocks back from where Hawaii Kai curves around the marina's mauka end here. To get to Village 3 from here you'll want a car to get you to where it sits inside Mariner's Valley, off the western end of the marina and behind Koko Head.
Each Village has their own recreation area, pool, club house and other amenities to themselves, so you only share those with your own neighbors. With all 3 tucked back in the valley environment, your life can take a step back from the daily treadmill once you pull into the neighborhood.
It's difficult to say which of the Villages would be right for you. What we can tell you is that these homes are known as an excellent value in the
Hawaii Kai townhomes market and, though older, have been very well maintained. In other words, a little more investigating is needed, but you can't go too wrong.
