Hale Makani Kai, formerly known as Hawaii Kai Condominium Project Lot #5, is a small marina front townhouse project with only 9 units total, located at 421 through 439 Kawaihae St.
All units are 3-bedroom with 1.5 to 2.5 bathrooms in a split level, two story layout with no neighbors above. The units range in size between 1,350 sq ft to 1,549 sq ft interior living space with a generous size 186 sq ft patio along the marina.
The typical layout has the kitchen and living room on the lower split level a few steps below the garage and street level. The living room leads out to the large marina front patio with direct marina access. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs with a balcony off the master bedroom suite overlooking the marina.
The marina frontage here is towards the end of one of the many marina fingers and not the wide part of the Hawaii Kai Marina. This is not the most preferred location on the marina. However, this project offers some of the more affordable marina front townhomes where you can park a boat just outside your living room.
The townhomes are attached and the neighboring units share a common cmu block wall. There are no amenities (e.g no pool, etc..) and the project is self managed.
