Hale Royale sits on the inland side of Lower Honoapiilani Rd in Honokowai, the front residences within 130 yards of the Pacific.
The studio to two bedroom condos have interiors that range from 486 to 1,122 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. They break down to twenty-eight studios, thirty-eight one bedrooms and twenty of the two bedrooms. The two bedrooms all are two-story townhomes that have the living/dining areas on the top level and both bedrooms on the lower one. Upstairs studios and one bedrooms have high, vaulted ceilings with enough clearance that some owners have added a loft in those, using it as another bedroom or a sitting area. There are also four residences in the complex that, because they are over a breezeway, have an extra 3 feet of width in their living/dining areas.
Each unit has one assigned, uncovered parking stall to use. Ceiling fans are built-in throughout the interiors, with some owners adding window a/c units as well. Washer/Dryer is inside most condos and there is also a community coin laundry facility on-site. A solar pv system provides some of the common areas’ electricity, which reduces the cost to the condominium. These are all walk-up buildings, so there are no elevators in the complex.
Some of the residences have peekaboo to partial ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Hale Royale doesn’t get the attention of other properties, so many are surprised by the resort-like amenities. There are two pools, one rectangular to the eastern side and one kidney-shaped in the middle of the property that has a hot tub beside it, both with sundecks surrounding them. You also have a dry, or ‘Finnish’, sauna to sweat out the stress and get some health benefits as needed. On the far eastern end are two tennis courts, one of which has a basketball hoop on it as well.
When the pool isn’t enough, it’s less than ½ mile south to be at
Honokowai Beach Park. Between the road and the beach is 4 ½ acres of open green space that has two playgrounds on it and BBQs with picnic tables nearby to have a nice meal in the Maui outdoors. The beach offers sands on a big enough beach to find a nice spot to yourself. The waters are kept calmer by a protective reef, making it a swimmers’ spot. The reef provides not only protection but the schools of fish, sea turtles and ocean life that attract snorkelers, so bring your gear and head over.
