The Hanalei Colony Resort is a beachfront community, some of its buildings literally feet from the sand, and the only condo with a Hanalei address. The residences, and the lifestyle, here is Old Hawaii, focused on the beautiful surroundings and living more simply, so you won’t find high-end amenities here. Residents pride themselves on the fact that very few units have a television in them.
The two bedroom condos have interiors measuring from 800 to 850 Sq Ft with one lanai on the outside. Although the majority of properties are owned fully, there are some under a fractional or shared ownership structure. These units all have ceiling fans for the hotter days and, for parking, they have one assigned, uncovered stall. The buildings are walk-ups, so there are no elevators in the complex.
Most residences have ocean views, ranging from partial to completely unobstructed.

beachfront restaurant on-site, so you can dine out while taking in the views from your table.
The views are even better on
Kepuhi Beach, right in front of the property. There’s a lot of soft sand on Kepuhi, but be aware that it is rocky in places. It’s best to stick to relaxing on-shore or taking a quiet walk on its approx. 1 ½ mile span due to the often strong currents in the waters. The same applies to
Wainiha Beach Park, ½ mile east of you – wonderful beach, but the ocean can be dangerous.
Tunnels Beach is where to go if you need the full experience, its coastline shielded by a reef and only 1 mile to your west. The waters are much calmer here, especially in summer, and it is rated as one of the best snorkeling and scuba diving spots on Kauai.
