The Villas at Puali sits in the Puali area of Lihue, the community sitting against open land on its north, east and south sides. In fact, you are on the very end of any development as it is nothing but miles of untouched land to both the south and the east. All streets within the neighborhood end in a cul-de-sac to reinforce the quiet and the privacy.
The two and three bedroom condos have interiors that range from 1,367 to 1,392 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. The vast majority are three bedroom floor plans, which can be single-level or two-story. The few two bedrooms are all single-level.
An attached two-car garage is on every residence for parking as well as providing some space for storage. The residences are a mix for their interior cooling, some using exclusively ceiling fans, where others only have a split a/c systems installed. Washer/Dryer is inside every unit. You have a yard area of your own as well, most fenced-in, where many have a garden.
There are no ocean views from these homes, but they do have excellent garden and mountain views.
Amenities & Things To Do Being in the green interior of the Island, it takes a little more to get to the coastline. For locals here, their special spot is
Kalapaki Beach, which is a little over 3 ½ miles east. This is a larger spread of sands, with the Marriott resort fronting onto it. Despite the visitors staying there, the size of the beach allows you to find space even on more crowded days, though you might have to walk a little. A break wall keeps the waves smaller when they do get through, so you can swim easily in these waters. You’ll see a lot of paddle boarders as well and surfers heading out to the higher waves further out.
Closer by, Lihue’s slower pace lifestyle is deceptive as there’s always something going on. There’s the monthly
2nd Saturday Night Market with vendors, entertainment and lots of food to sample. Then there’s annual events like the
Rice Street Block Party in October, the Kauai Brewers Festival each April, and the Kauai Turkey Trot & Shoot (Charity Run & 9 Hole Golf Tournament) plus one-off celebrations and the always anticipated holiday celebrations, all done local style.
