Halelani Village at Puhi sits toward the southern end of the
Puhi area of Lihue.
The community was built in three phases from west to east:
- Phase I (11 Bldgs, 116 Units) & Phase IB (8 Bldgs, 84 Units) consisted entirely of two bedroom floor plans with 650 or 750 Sq Ft interiors with one lanai exterior.
- Phase IC (9 Bldgs, 92 Units) has one, two and three bedroom residences with interiors of 553 to 978 Sq Ft, also with one lanai. The two bedroom floor plans in this phase are different from the first two phases.
Ground floor condos have their own private fenced backyard, while there are vaulted ceilings in those on the upper floor. Each unit has either one or two assigned, uncovered parking spaces for their use. Ceiling fans are throughout the living areas and bedrooms, with some owners having added split a/c systems as well. Washer/Dryer is inside every condo. The buildings are all walk-ups, so there are no elevators in the complex.
A few of the second floor residences have ocean horizon views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Only one mile north of you is
Puhi Park, the recreational center for this part of Lihue. In this one space there are two tennis courts, a baseball diamond and a basketball full-court for pick up games as well as league play. The kids have a playground here that is surrounded by open space for them to run and play on, too. There’s other green spaces in the park for all ages to enjoy a day out on for recreation or a relaxing picnic.
Getting to the beach takes a little longer from your inland location, but it’s still less than 3 ½ miles to
Kalapaki Beach. Easily one of the most popular areas of the coastline, people are drawn here by the calmer waters enforced by the breakwall off of it. The diminished waves that make it through are more manageable, so a smooth swim is almost always possible. Those conditions have made it one of the main places for learning to surf or paddle board, even in summer when the swells are larger.
