Whalers Cove at Poipu is an oceanfront community with two curved buildings, its property sitting against the ocean on both its south and east sides.
The one to three bedroom condos here have one and two-story floor plans with interiors of 1,179 to 2,060 Sq and one lanai exterior. The vast majority are two bedrooms, only a very few one or three bedrooms. Both bedrooms and two full bathrooms are upstairs in the two-story/two-bedroom configurations, with a powder room on the first floor.
For parking, every unit has at least one unassigned space to use. Owners primarily have just ceiling fans for cooling the indoors here. There is an elevator in each building for those on the upper floors. All units have an ocean view, many of them completely unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do Just west of you, about 200 yards west on the coastline, is
Baby Beach. Though not huge, it’s larger than the name suggests at approx. 330 feet long. The waters are clear and tend to be calmer, so you can get in some strokes. It’s also known for snorkeling, so bring your gear.
To your east a mile is
Kiahuna Beach, which is a much longer stretch of sand. It can be busy, due to being in front of the Sheraton resort, but the sands are very welcoming. The waters are clear here as well, but the swells can get strong at times. People come here for swimming, snorkeling and surfing, but pay attention to the conditions.
Your local mall,
The Shops at Kukuiula, is less than ½ mile north of Whalers Cove. It holds over 40 stores and dining options, including a Longs Drug for the most common needs.
At home, there is always a heated oceanfront pool and a spa. From there you can see and hear the Pacific, at times maybe even feel some spray.
