The Prince Kuhio sits across the street from the ocean, next to the Prince Kuhio Park on its east side. Although another condominium is directly in front of it, this building looks right out at Prince Kuhio Beach, approx. 30 yards southeast of it.
The studio to two-bedroom condos have interiors ranging from 338 to 1,194 Sq Ft with one lanai exterior. The fourth floor/roof has only two units, both two-bedroom and each surrounded by 1,600 Sq Ft of outside space on 3 sides. Residences have one unassigned parking stall to use, which are both open and covered.
The condos all have ceiling fans to cool the interior. This is a walk-up, so there are no elevators in this building. Almost every residence has a partial ocean view, a few coming close to being unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do Prince Kuhio Beach is just on the other side of Lawai Rd. There isn’t much sand here, but it is a favorite surfing spot and, in winter months, the snorkeling is good as well.
Although not a ‘lay out’ beach, some like to come watch the surfers take on the waves here.
Less than 200 yards west of you is
Lawai Beach, which does have the sands to stake out a place on here. The water is more manageable also, but there are rip currents occasionally, so be aware. That said, there are some excellent snorkeling spots without going very far from shore. Water shoes are recommended. (Some call this Prince Kuhio Beach for some reason. It is not.).
One other close-by option is
Baby Beach, about 350 yards to the east from your home. This is your best bet for a calmer ocean to swim or snorkel in and there’s also a nice bed of sand to stretch out and relax on, too.
The neighboring
Prince Kuhio Park provides a beautiful open, green space to enjoy, but do so respectfully as it marks the birthplace of this great historical figure.
