Poipu Kapili sits across the street from the ocean, separated literally only by Hoonani Road and 5 to 6 yards of shore. The front four buildings are as close as 35 yards from the waves.
The one and two bedroom condos have interiors that range from 1,098 to 1,837 Sq Ft with one or two lanais exterior. All one-bedrooms are single-level, while the two-bedrooms can be one or two-story floor plans. Each residence has at least one assigned, uncovered parking stall for their use. A few owners have installed split a/c systems, but most condos use only ceiling fans here. There are elevators in the three-story buildings only, the remaining two-story structures are walk-ups.
The on-site rental management is run by
Parrish Kauai, who have a separate building that holds the front-desk, concierge and their offices. Owners can opt-in to their program if they choose. Almost every home here has an ocean view, most ranging from partial to, in the front four buildings, close to unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do Poipu Kapili’s pool and BBQs are in the center of the property, giving you a view of the ocean from there. There are two tennis courts on the northwest corner of the property, where you can play pickleball as well.
To the east less than ½ miles is
Kiahuna Beach, where you can usually find a space on the sand fairly easily. Being right in front of the
Sheraton, it can be busier sometimes. The waters are very clear here and you’ll see every activity here – snorkeling, swimming, surfing, bodyboarding. It all can be done on Kiahuna, but the waves can get rougher, so look before entering.
You also have a beach to your west, this one less than 1 mile that way.
Baby Beach is smaller, but only compared to other beaches on this coastline.
The waters are shallower in places and generally calmer here, so it’s a good place to take the kids. Snorkeling can be done here as well as swimming, plus turtles are seen here often. Rocky in places, so bring water shoes, just in case.
