The west side of Waikiki close to Hobron Lane has a special, more quiet residential neighborhood feel compared to most of the other, more touristy high traffic areas of Waikiki. This little known area around Hobron Lane and Ena Rd, wedged between the cul-de-sac end of Ala Wai Blvd, Kalakaua Ave and Ala Moana Blvd, features a small post office, a bank, a small but well stocked supermarket a small neighborhood park and a number of charming and cozy restaurants. While relatively quiet for Waikiki, this section of Waikiki abuts the famous Ala Moana neighborhood, located just across the Ala Moana Blvd Bridge on the other side of the Ala Wai Canal. Living in this off the beaten path location offers the best of both worlds: Waikiki with all its excitement to the east, …as well as, Ala Moana to the west with the biggest Beach Park and the largest shopping center in all of Hawaii.
