The Makolea is located in a very quiet area of Keauhou in Kona, only, at most, 500 feet up the street from
Kahaluu Beach. Its east and south sides sit against untouched lands covered with thick greenery, cushioning the property even further.
The one and two bedroom condos’ interiors measure from 480 to 860 Sq Ft with one covered lanai exterior. Every unit has one assigned, uncovered parking space and their own storage space in the common area. Ceiling fans are a standard feature, with some residents having added window a/c units to cool the inside.
This is a walk-up building, so there’s no elevator here. Some of the residences have peekaboo to partial ocean views from them.
Amenities & Things To Do Kahaluu Beach Park is not only a block away, it’s one of the best parts of the coastline you could live by. The bay waters are protected, so swimming or just wading around is easy to do. For many, this is one of the best snorkeling places on the Big Island, too. Sea turtles, tropical fish, octopus and other vibrant ocean life is not far off the beach, so you don’t have to go very far in to enter this world. Surfers also come here regularly, drawn by the four to six foot waves and how easy it is to get to them from here.
Even protected waters can get hazardous at times. Fortunately your building’s pool is always available just outside your door, with a sundeck to lay back on and just relax.
