The Kona Reef Resort is an oceanfront community that sits next to
Honl’s Beach on its south side.
The one to three bedroom condos have interiors that measure from 611 to 1,616 Sq Ft with one lanai on the outside. The vast majority of the properties are one bedroom, making up about one hundred of the units, with sixteen two bedrooms and three three bedrooms. Also, about fifty-seven of the condos are owned through a timeshare program, the other seventy-two wholly owned by their owners.
Washer/Dryer are inside every residence. Each condo has one unassigned, covered or uncovered parking stall to use. Ceiling fans are also a standard feature, with many adding a window unit in the living area to further cool the interior. There are three elevators in different buildings of the complex. However, after you get off the elevator there are still seven stairs up to get to the level your condo is on.
Castle Resorts runs the front desk, which is in its own separate building, and also handles the hotel program that owners can choose to opt-in.
Many of these residences have ocean views, including some that are completely unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do Honl’s Beach sits next to your property, so you can be on the sands in no time. Widely known as where boogie boarding was created, it’s no mystery why when you see the waves here. Swimming is one activity that depends on the strength of the swells, so it’s not always the best bet for that. The sands are good, though, and they’re rarely crowded, so you can probably count on a roomy spot to put your towel down.
You can do some swimming at
Kamakahonu Beach, less than 1 ½ miles north of you. Its calmer waters are the result of being in a protective cove. There’s excellent snorkeling if you go further out toward the reef there, home to tropical fish and all kinds of undersea life.
The
Kailua Pier makes up the eastern side of the beach, many local events using it during the year and it’s also where many watch the sunset each evening.
Your own community has much to offer as well, a swimming pool that’s only 60 feet from the ocean’s edge, a hot tub and a large party pavilion right next to them both, always ready when you are.
