Kona By The Sea is an oceanfront community in the Holualoa area of Kona, some of the residences as close as twenty yards from the Pacific.
The condos are one to three bedrooms with interiors of 919 to 2,289 Sq Ft and one or two lanais of exterior space. The front desk is in a covered, open-air lobby out front on the ground floor between the two buildings. The desk is run by
Aston Resorts, who handle the rentals for owners who enroll in the hotel program. Each unit has at least one assigned stall in the parking garage and all have central conditioning inside. One elevator is inside each of the buildings. There are ocean views from almost every condo, a lot of them completely unobstructed.
Amenities & Things To Do One feature that stands out about this place is the sandy beach that has been created right on the edge of the property, complete with palm trees, lounge chairs and umbrellas. Residents can look out at the ocean and relax in the sand without leaving the property. Next to that is the complex’s pool and its hot tub.
If you want to get into the Pacific waters, the
Alii Saltwater Pool is literally just over the fence. This is an actual public pool that sits on a terrace over the ocean. It’s filled by the waves as they crash against the terrace’s wall. It’s a unique experience.
If you want the whole beach experience,
Honl’s Beach is only a mile north. Bodyboarding is a main activity here – in fact it’s believed the sport started on this shoreline. You can get some swimming in here as well and, though not the biggest beach, there’s enough sand to enjoy and it’s rarely too crowded.
