Kanaloa at Kona is a gated, oceanfront community, the 11th and 12th fairways of the
Kona Country Club Golf Course lining its north side. Along with the Pacific on the property’s west, part of the south end sits right on
Keauhou Bay.
There are 166 one to three bedroom condos that have interiors of 1,016 – 1,955 Sq Ft and one or two lanais outside. Some two and three bedroom floor plans have a loft or an enclosed upper floor that holds a bedroom, bathroom and lanai. In addition, the front entry for second floor condos is often on the ground floor. Immediately inside there is a staircase that takes you up to the main floor of that unit. The buildings are all walk-ups in Kanaloa, so there are no elevators. Every unit gets an assigned carport space for parking and has central air conditioning inside. Many of these condos have ocean views, some completely unobstructed.
Castle Resorts is the on-site management company for rentals if you opt-in to the property’s program. However, you can use other companies if desired.
Amenities & Things To Do Keauhou Bay Beach Park is your next door neighbor, providing an easy entry to get in the waters for some swimming or snorkeling. The beach itself is not the biggest, but certainly enough to enjoy and relax on. The next closest sands are on the Kahaluu Beach Park, approx. 1 ¼ miles north, which is famous for its snorkeling. The waters are shallow and calm close to shore, so it’s also a swimmer’s beach. Surfers are more plentiful here in the winter months, when waves are higher on this side of the Big Island.
Kanaloa is also close to Keauhou Shopping Center, its stores and eateries a little over ½ mile from you. The KTA Super Store and Long’s Drugs will provide most of your common, daily needs and there’s a Regal Cinema to catch a movie. Some come here more on Saturday mornings for the Keauhou Farmers Market. You’ll find all kinds of local produce, products and food offered by the many vendors here.
Kanaloa itself provides three different pools and hot tubs, two lighted tennis courts and a fitness center for you to use without ever leaving the property.
