Hale Kai Okona is a gated, oceanfront community, the residences only about ten yards from the Pacific Ocean. The north half of the property has green lawn immediately on the ocean side of the buildings, while the south side has a sandy beach area there.

Amenities & Things To Do One mile south of you is
Pahoehoe Beach Park. This is a rocky beach, making typical activities more difficult. However, it does have a green lawn area, shaded by trees, that picnickers love and you can still look out at the ocean, without much company around. If you do want to get in the waves,
Magic Sands Beach is just down the street from Pahoehoe. The amount of sandy beach here varies due to the tides, but the ocean is great for swimming, surfing and boogie boarding. If you head north from Hale Kai Okona you’ll come to
Honl’s Beach less than 1 ½ miles away. Another smaller beach, it does have a rocky bed that makes swimming more difficult. It is, though, where you can get in some boogie boarding, the swells here tailor made for that.
