The gated Amaui Villas sit at the top of the hillside property of the
Mauna Kea Resort, the 8th fairway of the
Hapuna Golf Course running along its entire north side. The elevated location, neighboring fairways and spread out residential areas here create both more open sight lines and a quieter environment.
These are single-level single-family homes organized as a condominium community. The interior space ranges from 2,369 to 2,877 Sq Ft with a covered lanai outside.
All have a detached two-car garage, above which the fourth bedroom is located for those floor plans. Outside on the back of your villa, there is a plunge pool and a spa looking out at the ocean view you have from your home.
Amenities & Things To Do Amaui Villas residents have use of the
Hapuna Estates’ extensive amenities. These include a pool, a separate water slide, kids pool, fitness center, game room and a playground. A couple of poolside pavilions provide shade and comfortable seating, including couches for lounging.
Being at this end of the resort does mean the shore is further away, but the two major beaches,
Hapuna and
Kaunaoa (Mauna Kea), are each less than 2 ½ miles west.
Hapuna Beach is the Big Island’s largest stretch of white sands and swimmers like it for the calmer waters. Kaunaoa Beach’s waters have the same quality, making it another swimming spot, though the ocean occasionally becomes more active here. This is the place to be in the evening to see manta rays being fed, lit up by the floodlights of the hotel.
Owners can also join The Club at Mauna Kea Resort. It offers three membership levels to choose from, each giving you different degrees of access to the two resort hotel’s amenities, such as their beach/pool services & fitness centers. Members also have the use of the resort’s
tennis club and both
golf courses.
