The Islands at Mauna Lani is a gated community, part of the
Mauna Lani Resort, and with three of its sides lined by the 15th and 16th fairways of the
North Course.
Its fifteen buildings each hold either two or four homes in them. These two-story townhomes have interiors of 2,153 to 2,704 Sq Ft and 3 covered lanais that add additional outdoor space. All have two-car garages, ½ of them attached & ½ detached, and a courtyard entry. Inside you have central air conditioning with two zone control. There is open backyard space for recreation as well as being a further escape in an already peaceful community.
No ocean views from these homes, but they do have excellent golf course and mountain views.
Amenities & Things To Do Islands at Mauna Lani’s location in the resort is next door to the
Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club, which has a fully staffed fitness center, lap pool, tennis courts, saunas and more for exercise and recreation. You have full use of the facility due to the automatic membership you have in the Mauna Lani Advantage Club as an owner. The Advantage Club also brings full privileges at the
Mauna Lani Beach Club, which has beach services, a restaurant, cabanas and other amenities right on the sands. In addition, you have use of both the
North & South Golf Courses and other benefits on the resort.
200 yards from your neighborhood is the
Shops at Mauna Lani, with shops and eateries, including a Foodland Farms so grocery runs can be done easily.
The resort operates a free shuttle service as well, to take you places like the Beach Club or
Pauoa Beach, both under a mile away from home. Pauoa Beach is known for its welcoming waters for swimmers and paddle boarders due to its calmer waves.
49 Black Sand Beach is a longer haul at almost two miles distance, but the shuttle goes there, too. Along with its unique sands, the snorkeling is very good here and turtles often lounge on the warm beach.
